This hike goes through fields,a forest, and nice hedgerows. Bird species found in the forest including four species of flycatchers, several woodpeckers and warblers. The open areas host raptors and grassland species. The trail starts near the historic Sunnyside Cemetery above Ebey's Prairie.

We'll meet in the parking area near the visitors center. The hike starts at 8:00 a.m. and will last about 2.5 hours. The walking is fairly easy but there are exposed tree roots in the trail. A bonus is a chance at wildflowers and butterflies.
